What is Forensic Science?
Forensic science technicians collect, identify, classify, and analyze physical evidence related to criminal investigations. Often testifying as expert witnesses in legal matters regarding evidence or crime laboratory techniques, they also perform tests on weapons or substances, such as fiber, hair, and tissue to determine significance in investigations. In addition, they may serve as specialists in specific areas of expertise, such as ballistics, fingerprinting, handwriting or biochemistry.
